Welcome to our updated (Oct, 2024) resource for Domestic Pet Rats 101!
We're guessing you're here because you are completely new to rats, getting back into keeping rats after a break, or are just interested in what we have to suggest and some of our favorite things. This is, by no means, the be all end all of rat resources but it should be enough to get you started down the right path.

Communities
Some of the best places for the most up to date information and resources will be the online chat groups and there are TONS of them to choose from. We aren't even going to scratch the surface of the various clubs, groups, forums, etc that you could join but we will say that most of our volunteers tend to hang out at these places online:
